Motion to Rescind Taking by West Vincent

About 250 people jammed into tonight’s meeting of the West Vincent Board of Supervisors. Their first agenda item was to entertain a motion to rescind the resolution to condemn the Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show Grounds with the intent to seize control of the property. The supervisors acknowledged that they heard their constituents and after discussion with LCHSA’s president, John Jacobs, concluded that it would be in the best interest of West Vincent not to exercise eminent domain here. There was no discussion of the motion, nor any vote, as one supervisor was not present. A vote will be taken at future board meeting in December, to be held in Griffith Hall to accommodate the large turnout.

It took courage by the supervisors to publicly make this move and we trust that they will follow through with a vote to pass the motion. And then engage the LCHSA Board of Directors in serious negotiations to preserve the grounds and its traditional uses. Thank you to all who have supported LCHSA this week.
