Dolomite Trip and #GivingTuesday

October’s trip to the Dolomite mountains in northern Italy provided some breathtaking views (oh and some very breathtaking hairpin turns too). The reward for the rather long drive from Venice came as beautiful light on Pale di San Martino. The next morning we woke to 5 inches of snow; a perfect topping on the peaks set against blue skies and yellow larches. We shared lots of laughs and a few tastes of grappe to make a very memorable excursion. Visit my Dolomite gallery for more photos.

Returning to Venice, we took the early morning water taxi to Burano and spent an entire day shooting until after sunset. Known for its lace and brightly painted buildings, Burano like Venice is a series of islands, canals and bridges. For a bunch of “grand landscape shooters”, we had a blast capturing the colors of Burano. You can see more here.

Special Offer

Starting today, #GivingTuesday, and running until the end of December, 20% of all proceeds from sales on my site will be donated to Green Valleys Watershed Association.  GVWA’s mission has been to protect, preserve and restore the waterways of northern Chester County. The various education, science and community programs have made a significant impact in the region for more than 50 years. During this month, please support Green Valleys either by purchasing a photograph, or directly contributing to them.

I wish you, your family and friends the best during this holiday season.

Peace,

Ed
