On my way to and from the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, I stopped at Peaks of Otter along the Blue Ridge Parkway. On both passes the weather was mostly misty with periods of heavy rain. The lodge was quite comfortable and welcoming. The biggest surprise and my great enjoyment came from the appearance of Root2 Music at dinner. Nancy Reid and David Frank provided a mix of Celtic fiddle and Delta guitar wrapped in a comfortable blanket of old time Appalachian music. Look for these two when you get the chance, sure to make you smile and tap your toes. (I am only sorry I did not get them to sit for a photo).
